Aleciyah Brodley - MEHS

I can not express how grateful I am to be receiving the Greater Binghamton Sports Hall of Fame “John W Fox Scholarship Award” as the Female Senior High School Student/Athlete of the Year. My life has revolved around sports for as long as I can remember, so being recognized for my dedication, hard-work, and achievements means so much to me. Receiving any award is great; however, this one in particular holds a special place in my heart as it is for something I have a great passion towards. I have only ever imagined getting awards like this, and making it a reality is a dream come true. So much time and effort has been put into me as an athlete by both myself and those around me, and I am so thankful for each and every person who has helped me throughout the years. I am thankful for my dad because if it was not for him I would not be receiving this award. I wish I could share this with him, but I know he would be proud. I would also like to thank the rest of my family and friends for their constant support, my coaches for building me into the athlete I am, and a special thank you to the committee for awarding me this scholarship!

Jaylon Yearwood - UEHS

I am very grateful for winning the Greater Binghamton Sports Hall of Fame Scholarship. It's rewarding to be recognized for the hard work that I have put into my community, academics, and sports career. I cannot take credit for this award without thanking certain people like my mother, father, Mrs. Mac, Mindy, Coach Stanbro, and all my other coaches who have helped me with my journey through life. This scholarship will help me excel further into my life and open doors to better opportunities. I will continue to prove that I am worthy of receiving this award by continuing my education and giving back to Greater Binghamton Sports.
